The short version: Comps collects nothing, stores nothing about you, and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no server of mine, and no analytics. Every search happens in your own browser and disappears when you close the popup.
When you press the button, Comps opens eBay's own search pages in background tabs, reads the prices and titles already printed on those pages, works out the typical sold price and your likely profit, and then closes the tabs. The results are shown to you and held only in the popup while it is open.
Nothing. Your search terms, the cost figures you type, and the results are never written to a server, never logged, and never shared. There is no tracking of any kind, no cookies set by the extension, and no third party analytics.
It does not bid, buy, list, relist, or message anyone. It does not read your eBay account details, purchase history, saved cards, or messages. It only reads public search result pages, the same ones you could open yourself.
The extension asks for access to ebay.co.uk so it can read those search pages, and for permission to open and close its own tabs so it can fetch results without you having to do it manually. Storage is used only to remember your own settings on your own device.
Comps is not affiliated with eBay. Visiting eBay's pages is subject to eBay's own privacy policy, exactly as it would be if you searched there yourself.
If any of this ever changes, this page gets updated before the change ships, and the update will say so plainly in the store listing. Collecting nothing is the point of the product, not a temporary position.
