When you click the Shoebox button on Vinted, the extension reads the titles and prices of sold items already visible on the page you're looking at, and saves them into your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). You can also add entries by hand, including an optional "cost" figure for each item. That's the complete list of data Shoebox touches.
Nowhere. All records live in local storage on your own device. Shoebox has no backend, makes no network requests, sets no cookies, and includes no analytics or tracking of any kind. Uninstalling the extension deletes the data.
It never performs actions on Vinted on your behalf — no clicking, listing, relisting, bumping, following, or messaging. It never accesses your Vinted password, messages, or account settings. It only reads what is already on your screen, and only when you press the button.
The CSV export creates a file directly on your device. It is not uploaded or sent anywhere.
If any of the above ever changes, this page will be updated first and the change will be called out in the extension's store listing before it ships. The promise that your data stays on your device is the point of the product, not a temporary policy.
